Pick-up is from the address of your choice in Luxor at 9:00 am, followed by a private transfer roughly 50 km south to Esna. After boarding the Dahabiya, visit Esna Temple and stroll through the local market before sailing toward El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb, with its temple and tomb remains.
The boat later moors beside a small island. Dinner is served on the sun deck or along the Nile bank for your first night on board.
Sail through scenery that shifts between desert tones and dense date palms before reaching Edfu. Visit the remarkably preserved Temple of Horus, then continue toward Wadi el Shat for a walk through small villages and the surrounding desert.
Spend the evening at another quiet island mooring, with dinner on board or beside the river. Second night on board.
Relax on deck as the Dahabiya sails to Gebel el Silsila, where rock-cut chapels and the remnants of ancient sandstone quarries reveal a quieter side of the Nile’s history.
During lunch, continue toward Kom Ombo and go ashore to visit the distinctive double temple dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Dinner is served around a campfire beside the Nile. Third night on board.
Sail to Daraw, once an important stop for camel traders arriving from Sudan after the long desert journey. Walk through the village and camel market before continuing to Koubania, a Nubian village near Aswan known for gardens filled with citrus and mango trees.
Fourth and final night on board.
Your Dahabiya journey ends in Aswan after breakfast on board, followed by a transfer to the address of your choice in Aswan.
