The route pairs iconic temples with ancient quarries, quiet islands and long stretches of peaceful Nile sailing before arriving in Esna for your transfer to Luxor.

Kom Ombo Temple on the Aswan to Luxor Dahabiya route

Boarding in Aswan · Kom Ombo · Gebel el-Silsila

The pick-up point is the address of your choice in Aswan. At 9:00 am, you’ll be met by your host and transferred to embark the Nile Dahabiya. After a welcome from the crew, the boat sets sail toward a small island for a peaceful countryside walk.

After lunch on the sun deck, visit Egypt’s remarkable double temple at Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek and Haroeris. Continue sailing toward the ancient sandstone quarries at Gebel el-Silsila. First night on board.

Temple of Horus at Edfu

Edfu · El Fawaz

After breakfast, explore the rock temple and remains of ancient monuments around the old quarries. As riverbank life begins and fishermen head out, relax on the sun deck while the crew sails toward Edfu.

At Edfu, visit the exceptionally well-preserved Temple of Horus, whose inner walls are covered with inscriptions like a library carved in stone. The day ends at a small Nile island, with dinner around a campfire. Second night on board.

Ancient Upper Egyptian temple near Esna and Luxor

El Kab · Esna

Sail to El Kab, the ancient city of Nekheb, known for temples and rock-cut tombs dating back to Egypt’s Old Kingdom and later periods. Visit selected tombs cut into the cliffs and see the remains of the ancient temples.

Return to the Dahabiya and continue sailing toward Esna. Enjoy your final evening on the river and the third and last night on board.

Disembarkation in Esna · Transfer to Luxor

Your Dahabiya journey ends this morning in Esna. Enjoy a final breakfast on board before disembarkation.

A private transfer takes you to the address of your choice in Luxor, approximately 45 km north of Esna, with arrival around 11:00 am.
